About

My Story

unnamed (15).jpg
My roots run deep in Saskatchewan with both of my parents born and raised in Saskatchewan, as was my husband, myself, and my children. I love walking, (even in the winter when it’s minus -30), reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and listening to jazz. I am very humbled and honoured to have won the Crime Writers of Canada award for Best Crime Novel set in Canada for 2023, and to have been shortlisted for the Saskatchewan Book Awards for 2023.

When she investigates the remote beach cabin her father left her instead of his estate, she discovers a dilapidated beach resort in a remote location, seemingly untouched since its former owner, Cecelia Johansen, died under mysterious circumstances. Despite the condition of the property and rumours it's haunted, Ruby decides to move to Sunset Lake Resort, determined to find out why her father bought it, and why he left it to her.
